In the last post, Lottery Tools - The Eyes Have It, the lowest and highest numbers drawn were isolated. This makes it easier for the player to focus on his objective. In this case, he was looking for Lottery Number Patterns that might help him build a better Play List.

We’ll continue using the California 5/47 Super Lotto Plus lottery as an example for this post. After sorting the winning lottery numbers on the first column and removing the distractions of columns 2, 3 and 4, the VIEW Chart looks like this.

Blanking the middle three columns of winning numbers was definitely an improvement but we can improve the player’s Vantage Point™ even further by placing the winning lottery numbers in columns 1 and 6 adjacent to one another.

It’s clear that using the second VIEW Chart would be easier on the eyes. But, if you look more closely you’ll see another difference; an additional improvement.

When LONA™ performs a sort on a column of winning lottery numbers that the player selects, she also performs a secondary sort on the adjacent column. Comparing the two VIEW Charts you’ll notice, that in the bottom chart, column 6 was also sorted. It’s easy to see that finding a trend or pattern would be even easier using this chart.

Lottery Tools

In the last few posts we’ve been talking about using one of LONA™’s Lottery Tools to view your lottery from different Vantage Points™. Why? Because, observing the lottery from different perspectives can provide the Serious Lottery Player with ideas and insights not available to the average player.

I received a request from California, The Golden State, the home of the Redwoods to use the California 5/47 Super Lotto Plus lottery for this post.

At the click of the mouse, the VIEW Chart sorted column 1 of the CA547 lottery in Ascending order. The results are shown below. It turns out that over the last 280 drawings the number 1 has Hit 23 times, ten of those drawings are shown on the screen.

The California player is interested in which numbers Hit from column 5 whenever the number 1 Hit. He’s looking for any trend or pattern that might help him create a better Play List.

But, soon his eyes are crossing and becoming fatigued. Why? Because his eyes are going back and forth between column 1 and column 5 and all the numbers in between are distracting and confusing him. How do I know? Because that’s what happened to me and I decided I’d had enough and something had to be done. So I improved the VIEW Chart. The newest version is shown below with my solution.

The VIEW Chart allows the player to temporarily blank any column of winning lottery numbers to remove distractions and allow the player to concentrate on what is important to him. Simply put, the VIEW Chart makes it easier for the player to study lottery history files, ultimately saving the player TIME.

Lottery Tools

Hats off to all our lottery friends in the Peach State, home of the Georgia Bulldogs. As I promised yesterday, I’m going to talk about one of LONA™’s very powerful Lottery Tools, using the Georgia 6/42, ‘Win for Life’ lottery as an example. Today’s tool, the VIEW™ Chart.

The VIEW™ Chart lists the winning lottery numbers for the GA642 lottery in sequential order by drawing date as shown below. Using the scroll bar on the right, you can peruse the entire lottery’s history. So far, this is simply the classical way of viewing a lottery’s history.

I know, I know, some of you are saying, “You’ve got to be kidding. You call this a Lottery Tool. This is a joke.” Hold on there Sénior Cynic, there is much more. Mucho mas!

With one click of the mouse, you can sort the entire lottery history as shown below. You see that the drawing order has changed. All 42 of the drawings with the number 1 are shown together; ten at a time. Followed by the number 2, number 3, etc. Now, you can study all of the drawings where the number 1 Hit or number 2 Hit, together, in one place.

What the Georgians learn from this is that the best second number partners for the number 1 are numbers 4 and 7. Each has Hit 5 times with the number 1. (You view the rest by using the scroll bar on the right.)

This gives you an entirely new perspective on the lottery. It changes your Vantage Point™. In fact, it gives the Serious Lottery Player an infinite variety of Vantage Points™. Best Lottery Software

In my last post, Best Lottery Software #1 - Survival of the Fittest, you learned of our Lottery Software junkyard. But, what does it take for an idea to make the grade and become part of LONA™. Today I’m going to talk about her price of admission.

As I’ve said, over the years we’ve investigated, researched, tried and tested hundreds of concepts and ideas. All of that work was necessary, because, on the average, it takes hundreds of ideas before one is found worthy to be included in LONA™. To make the cut, an idea must meet this stringent criteria:

1. It must provide a significant advantage. There are many junk yard residents that can provide a 1-2% advantage. But, including them would only serve to dilute the power and strength of LONA™.
2. It must be understood by the user. If it requires a PHD in mathematics to understand the concept, it is unusable. There are actually a couple of these in the dump.
3. The idea must be easily explained to the user. An idea that isn’t understood doesn’t even receive a footnote in history.

This approach is like prospecting for gold; a lot of hard work produces only a few gold nuggets.
