Lottery Predictions for the Illinois Lotto

The last time we checked the best play lists for the Michigan Classic Lotto 47 were doing quite well. Today, we’ll take a look at the Illinois Lotto to see how well the Lottery Number Advisor lottery predictions have performed. Previously, we’ve shown you the kind of performance to expect from a bad, an average and the best play lists to demonstrate how important picking lottery numbers for your play list is. When pursuing those lottery jackpots, creating a good place list is where you should start.

I wasn’t necessarily recommending these play lists per se, but I was using them to demonstrate what is possible. But, just the same, I thought it would be nice to go back and take a look at some of the best play lists and see how they have been doing.

The best play lists that I presented in my post Lottery Number Advisor - Illinios Lotto Play List on June 17, have been doing rather well. In case you missed it, in the last 28 drawings the top play list did much better than the average. Using it would have definitely improved your chances of winning the lottery. Here is the table of the 10 best 30 number play lists that I provided back in June.

IL652 - Play Lists with the Most Jackpot Hits Over the Last 385 Drawings

An average 30 number play list would produce all six winning numbers about once every 32 drawings. Not exactly setting the world on fire. The best play lists above were all producing all six winning numbers about once every 9.6 drawings. Quite an improvement. Continuing with their winning ways, the top play list above produced all six winning numbers two times in the last 28 drawings. That’s once every 14 drawings. Now, that is not quite as good as 9.6 but, still much better than 32. So, which would you prefer; 14 or 32?

If you are a serious lottery player, you should focus your primary attention on making good lottery predictions for your play list. It is the best lottery strategy to improved your chances of winning the lottery.

Lottery Predictions for the Michigan Classic Lotto

For the last two months I’ve been making lottery predictions using the Lottery Number Advisor to show everyone what type of play list performance is possible for many lotteries in the US and Canada. I’ve shown you what the performance of a bad, an average and the best play lists look like. Hopefully, this has served to show you how important picking lottery numbers for your play list is.  When you are going after those lottery jackpots your play list rules.

The best play lists that I presented in my post Lottery Number Advisor - Michigan Classic Lotto 47 on June 15, did very well. I hope all of our Michigan friends were paying close attention because in the last 16 drawings the top play list was on fire. It would have definitely improved your chances of winning the lottery. Below is the list I provided back in June.

MI647 - Play Lists with Most Jackpot Hits Over the Last 360 Drawings

An average 30 number play list would produce all six winning numbers about once every 18 drawings. Nothing to write home about. The best play lists I provide were producing all six about once every 6.8 drawings. Quite an improvement. But, in the last 16 drawings the top play list produced all six winning numbers three times! That’s once every 5.33 drawings! Unbelievable performance! It did better than it has ever done before.

Making lottery predictions for your play list is where you need to focus your attention. It is the primary way to improved your chances of winning the lottery. Hope all of our Michigan friends were using these lists.

Lottery Statistics

In the last post, Picking Lottery Numbers - When Your HOT; Your HOT , you discovered that the Hottest numbers occurred more than twice as often as the Coldest number. For many people this is inexplicable and hard to swallow. It shakes the foundation of their belief that the lottery is a Random game of chance.  But, they created their own quandary because of their limited knowledge of mathematics.  They really only have part of the story.  So, let’s pull a Paul Harvey and give them the rest of the story.

Our skeptics belief that all numbers should occur essentially the same number of times is correct.  But, here’s the caveat. This is true for any lottery in the long run; after millions and millions of drawings. So, it’s going to take millions and millions of drawings before our skeptics will be able to prove that they were right. Perhaps a skeptic’s time would be better spent being skeptical about living that long.

There are two points that I want to make here that are very exciting:

First, mathematics predicts the wide fluctuations that occur early on in a random process. The fact that some numbers have occurred twice as often (or even more) at the beginning of a lottery is not unusual.  In fact, it is expected!

Second, and the most exciting, in the random game we call the lottery, the short term is YOUR LIFETIME!!! Here’s what I mean.  If you play a lottery with 2 drawings per week, in 50 years you would have played a little over 5,000 drawings.  Great! Fantastic! Why?  Because, 5,000 lottery drawings is nothing compared to the millions of drawings necessary before all number will have occurred essentially the same number of times.

Lottery Statistics show that the Lottery Number Patterns we see are not only real, they are expected. We can use Lottery Software to identify them and use them to our advantage or not. So, for all the sayers, nayers and players; that’s the rest of the story.

Picking Lottery Numbers

When lottery players are Picking Lottery Numbers to add to their Play List, HOT numbers are always an important consideration. For those just entering this discussion, HOT numbers are numbers that have hit more often than any other numbers. In the next few post, I’ll discuss the validity of selecting HOT numbers for your Play List.

Some of you have complained that you’re not feeling any love because I don’t use your lottery in my examples.  OK, here’s some honey for our Serious Lottery Playing friends in Illinois; Lotto 652. The IL652 lottery history that I will use contains 291 drawings; the last being 11/08/08.

The coldest number in the IL652 lottery is number 10. It only hit 19 times in 291 drawings. Amazingly, the 14 Hottest numbers have all hit more than twice as often; 39 to 42 times. Any gambler would be hard pressed not to take this into consideration when choosing numbers for his Play List. He would be almost compelled to play the odds.

Some would question, ‘What if the number 10 hit in the next drawing? Wouldn’t that prove your theory wrong?’ Actually, no. The fact that someone would ask that question, indicates that they are missing the point. We are playing the odds here. It is not as important what happens in the next drawing as what happens over the next 10 drawings; next 20 drawings; etc. For example, winning a poker tournament requires the poker player to expertly play the odds consistently over thousands of hands. It’s consistency that separates the novice from the pro.

So, when the numbers are HOT; they’re HOT. This makes Picking Lottery Numbers easy. Quickly, put them in your Play List before you get burned.

Picking Lottery Numbers

As hurricane Ike is approaching the Texas coast, you’re probably wondering how I managed to link weather forecasting to Picking Lottery Numbers. Easy; the Cone of Uncertainty.

You’ve all seen the hurricane track models that show the most probable path (right down the middle). The Cone of Uncertainty spreads out from there showing the less likely paths that Ike might follow. That’s the best that weather forecasters can do; they’re playing the odds.

Serious lottery players do exactly the same thing. Based upon the history of the lottery, they create a Play List that they believe represents the most probable outcome.

Weather predictions and playing the lottery are very similar activities. Back in the day, everybody laughed and joked about the weatherman, but today, with the help of computers, everyone is glued to the TV for the next report. Playing the lottery is the same way. Serious lottery players couldn’t do what they do without the modern computer and some serious Lottery Software, like LONA™.
